Theater Program Director & Substitute Teacher - New Jersey

Winston Preparatory School in Whippany, NJ is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and experienced individual to direct and produce our Theater Program and serve as a Substitute Teacher. This dual role involves overseeing our after school drama clubs, directing school theater productions, as well as being a substitute teacher. If you have a passion for the arts and education, and enjoy working in a dynamic school environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Winston Prep is a co-ed day school for 4th through 12th grade students with learning differences such as dyslexia, nonverbal learning disabilities, expressive or receptive language disorders and executive functioning problems. Our mission is to facilitate the independence of individuals with learning difficulties through assessment-driven individualized education, research and outreach.

Qualifications:
  • B.A. or B.F.A in an education or a performing arts related field
  • Experience in theater education and directing.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and engage students with diverse learning needs.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and willing to work with faculty and staff to support student growth and learning.
